Thank you for your interest in the Mississippi State Hospital Doctoral Internship in Health Services Psychology. I would like to personally welcome you to our website, and I hope to offer you a small preview of what we get to do here. Although we have an amazing 350-acre campus that features incredible trees, greenspaces, ponds, and walking trails, the true beauty at our campus is in our patient population. Our Internship Program rests on three key pillars: Compassion, Service, and Advocacy. We have the privilege of working with some of the most clinically challenging patients in the state, and you will have experiences here that you are unlikely to see in most programs. We are one of the few state hospitals that are not entirely forensic, and we provide services across the lifespan. Whether you are interested in our adolescent program, or in practicing psychology with older adults, our Internship Program will increase your education and expand your clinical repertoire. Our hope for all of our Psychology Interns is that as they continue to grow in their clinical skills, they also grow in their humanity.

Becoming a Psychology Intern at MSH not only includes working with some of the most interesting patients in the state, our training department includes a diverse group of incredible doctors and mentors who consider it a privilege to be part of your growth and education.
